Since 1948, close to 130 nations have contributed military and civilian police personnel to peace operations. ... As of June 2013, 114 countries were contributing a total 91,216 military observers, police, and troops to United Nations Peacekeeping Operations.
China has announced that it will commit 8,000 peacekeepers to the United Nations' peacekeeping force, in a commitment made by Chinese President Xi Jinping. As well as China, more than 50 countries have pledged 40,000 troops at the UN summit in the USA - including a first-time offer of 5,000 troops by Columbia.
All members have militaries, except for Iceland which does not have a typical army (but does, however, have a coast guard and a small unit of civilian specialists for NATO operations). Three of NATO's members are nuclear weapons states: France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
