Question: "You're a Republican so why don't you support Trump?"
Answer: I'll flip that question back to you: How CAN you, as a supposedly Christian conservative Republican support Trump when:
('s the part you're going to skip and then reply to me with Fox News talking points)
When you saw a man who had owned a fraudulent University, intent on scamming poor people, you thought "Fine."
When you saw a man who had made it his business practice to stiff his creditors, you said, "Okay."
When you heard him proudly brag about his own history of sexual abuse, including a recorded conversation in which he said it’s OK to grab a woman by her “private parts.” you said, "No problem, that’s just locker room talk."
When he made up stories about seeing Muslim-Americans in New Jersey in the thousands cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center, you said, "Not an issue."
When you saw him brag that he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and you wouldn't care, you chirped, "He sure knows me."
When you heard him illustrate his own character by telling that cute story about the elderly guest bleeding on the floor at his country club, the story about how he turned his back and how it was all an imposition on him, you said, "That's cool!"
When you saw him mock the disabled, you thought it was the funniest thing you ever saw.
When you heard him brag that he doesn't read books, you said, "Well, who has time?"
When the Central Park Five were compensated as innocent men convicted of a crime they didn't commit, and he angrily said that they should still be in prison, you said, "That makes sense."
When you heard him tell his supporters to beat up protesters and that he would hire attorneys, you thought, "Yes!"
When you heard him tell one rally to confiscate a man's coat before throwing him out into the freezing cold, you said, "What a great guy!"
You have watched the parade of neo-Nazis and white supremacists with whom he curries favor, while refusing to condemn outright Nazis, and you have said, "Thumbs up!"
You hear him unable to talk to foreign dignitaries without insulting their countries and demanding that they praise his electoral win, you said, "That's the way I want my President to be."
You have watched him remove expertise from all layers of government in favor of people who make money off of eliminating protections in the industries they're supposed to be regulating and you have said, "What a genius!"
You have heard him continue to profit from his businesses, in part by leveraging his position as President, to the point of overcharging the Secret Service for space in the properties he owns, and you have said, "That's smart!"
You have heard him say that it was difficult to help Puerto Rico because it was the middle of water and you have said, "That makes sense."
You have seen him start fights with every country from Canada to New Zealand while praising Russia and quote, "falling in love" with the dictator of North Korea, and you have said, "That's statesmanship!"
You know that Trump separated children from their families and put them behind locked doors, possibly in cages, managed to lose track of 1500 kids. has opened a tent city incarceration camp in the desert in Texas - he explains that they’re just “animals” - and you say, “well, ok then.”
When he said that he didn’t want immigrants from shithole countries, you screamed “Build the wall!”
When he trashed Senator McCain’s ordeal as a POW by saying that he didn’t like people that got caught, you regurgitated the 2008 smear campaign that called the Senator a traitor and songbird.
When he stated that avoiding STD’s was his personal Vietnam, you were eager to forgive.
When the news came out that he was a five-time draft dodger with a “trumped-up” medical condition, you still called him a strong supporter of our military.
You heard him call himself a “stable genius, even though he constantly spews gibberish like this quote about uranium: “You know what uranium is, right? It’s this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things. But nobody talks about that.”
You didn’t even blink when he blurted out his water is wet statement: “This is a tough hurricane, one of the wettest we’ve ever seen from the standpoint of water.”
When he said that it’s OK to: “take the guns first, go through due process second.” You applauded his remarks.
When he claimed that he was a self-made billionaire, then found out that his rich daddy funneled $412 Million to him in shady tax evasion moves, you still declared him to be a brilliant businessman.
When you learned that he pushed for “eminent domain” to attempt to force a widow out of her house to build a limousine parking lot for his casino, you thought it was a brilliant business move.
When he tramples all over the First Amendment by calling the free press the “enemy of the people”, you scream “fake news” in support.
When you add more fuel to the fire of smearing the free press by praising a “republican” candidate for body-slamming a reporter to the raucous cheers of your cult, days after another reporter was brutally murdered, you applaud when he says he likes the way the Saudis are handling the “investigation.”
When you publicly call an adult actress that you paid hush money to after you had sex with her, “horseface.” Your minions laugh.
You have witnessed all the thousand and one other manifestations of corruption and low moral character and outright animalistic rudeness and contempt for you, the working American voter, and you still show up grinning and wearing your MAGA hats and threatening to beat up anybody who says otherwise.
If all of these things mean nothing to you, I truly don't understand you as a person.
So we got yet another Supreme Court Justice who says he will continue to uphold Roe vs. Wade....and the economy continues to grow as it was before the election. Was it worth selling out all of your values and principles you've always said you believed in? Republicans USED to be "the good guys". Is that still the case when we are accepting everything listed above? I don't think so.
